One thing designers have to tackle initially in their career is making that first Portfolio page. After all, how would you showcase the rest of the world your work? A common platform is online and there exist many content management systems or CMS’s for the beginner to get started and hit the ground running. One popular example is WordPress, which is used by more than 30% of Internet users. Another trending CMS that many new designers use is Squarespace which offers responsive layouts an easy to use platform. CMS sites stand out these days because they allow for multiple users and are ideal for the non-advanced technical user.

With all these options one might say well what is the catch? For starters, besides security issues, site customizability is limited to the templates that are on offer. What might one do? Well, there is an app for Sketch called Anima that allows you to create responsive sites with auto layouts as well as animations. Where Anima truly shines is its ability to export code.

You heard that right. Anima will give you code.

Imagine being able to create your unique design and not have to deal with a Front End Development team to translate files into HTML & CSS. This can rapidly improve your workflow and allow you all the flexibility that you might need. You can create a mobile or a web-based page to your specific liking and with a few clicks export code.

The possibilities with Anima are indeed endless and any designer looking to try and broaden their design horizons should include this program in their toolbelt.
